Photographer jobs — common questions
How are the terms of a shoot agreed?
The client sets the brief, the date and the fee, and all of it is on the request before you accept, so you know what you are agreeing to.
Does it cost anything to join GiG?
Creating your profile and receiving offers costs nothing. GiG takes a small platform fee on a completed hire, so the wage a company offers is the figure before that fee.
When do I get paid?
Payment for a job is held in escrow and released once the work is signed off, so it does not depend on the company remembering to pay you. Withdrawals go to your bank account.
Are the companies on GiG genuine?
Every company is verified — business details and registration proof — before it can hire anyone. Workers only ever receive offers from companies that cleared that check.
